Nepal cannot be considered an entirely healthy country due to the climate that includes long months of mountain monsoons running between June and September, combined with Katmandu's pollution, but if you stick to the obvious precautions you should not have any problems.

Drinking water:
In Kathmandu hotels and restaurants treat water to drinking, but it is advisable to purchase bottle water.
Once out on your trek all water is boiled to sterlized.

Stomach Problems:
These can be aggravated by some poor hygienic practices at restaurants and at tea-houses along trekking routes. Most bodies adjust quickly and a mild case of tummy problem can be waited out without need for medication.

Acute Mountain Sickness:
Some degree of altitude mountain sickness may occasionally occur at around the 3,000m +. Great care with altitude acclimatization is taken by all trekking companies and they will respond very quickly to any symptions, it is best to make you have good travel insurance incase you need helicopter evacutation.
