The walk starts at the top of the Pfingstegg cable car; the walk is mainly downhill and is easy to navigate with good views of the Grindelwald Valley and at Michbach you will get great views of the Ob. Grindelwaldgletscher.

From Pfingstegg cable car you follow the path that leads off to the left signposted Milchbach. The walking is relatively easy, after skirting round the Mettenberg you come to the restaurant Milchbach, from here you have good views of the Ob. Grindelwaldgletscher and the Wetterhorn (3701m), if you are equipped and confident you can continue further up for better views of the Ob. Grindelwaldgletscher, a wooden staircase makes its way up (890 steps and a 150m vertical rise)

The route then continues down through woods until you reach the Hotel Wetterhorn, on reaching the hotel you can either return to Grindelwald by using the bus service or walk to the end of the car park and follow the signed path back to Grindelwald an easy downhill walk through woods, across gorges into the rich alpine pastures.
