Pfingstegg (1391m) to Baregg (1793m) back to Pfingstegg

Pfingstegg to Baregg and back to Pfingstegg: Easy walking but you need to keep your concentration as many sharp drops.

3 hours for the round trip.

The start of the walk is at the top of the Pfingstegg cable car, reached from Grindelwald.
From the top station of the Pfingstegg cable car take the signed path to Stieregg, on your right, you travel through a gated meadow. Once through the meadow, the path becomes steeper with sharp drops to the valley below, some of the walk has a handrail but much is exposed so it as advisable to tread carefully and keep an eye on your children, you have magnificent views of Grindelwald below to your right.
The path climbs steadily throughout the whole route travelling under small waterfalls along the route, towards the end the path becomes a little more tricky, nearing your destination you have good views of the Eiger, the last part of your journey forms a winding path up to Baregg as you see the Swiss flag you can feel assured that you are reaching the end of your trip, once reaching Baregg if you take the path to your left instead of going to the restaurant you will follow a narrow path taking you through a gate where you will have some excellent views of the Unter Grindelwaldgletscher.
The return route traces your steps back down to Pfingstegg.
