An ideal short walk if you have either a wet morning or afternoon forecast or if you fancy an afternoon shopping.

You start the walk by taking the short cable car ride from Lauterbrunn (796m) to Grütschalp, you then turn left taking the path that follows the railway track into the traffic free village of Murren, this is an easy  uphill walk rising only 156m with a restaurant half way in Winteregg. Once in Mürren you can pick up regular trains take you back to Grütschalp and the take the cable car back to Lauterbrunn where you are served with good rail connections.
Mürren offers a small selection of shops and restaurants.

The walk offers views of the Lauterbrunn Valley and the peaks of the Eiger (3970m), Mönch (4107m) and Jungfrau (4158).
