The walk starts at Alpiglen station, which can by reached by trains from Grindelwald and Wengen anf finishes at the cable car station at Männlichen where you can catch the gondola or cable car back to Grindelwald or Wengen. You are treated to some magnificent views to the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau on this walk.

As you leave Alpiglen station you head uphill on the broad path towards Kleine Scheidegg you will notice that the railway line is to your right, as the path rises steadily you will see to your left magnificent views of the north face of the Eiger, on reaching a crossing of paths you need to bear right towards Bustiglen ignoring all other paths as you now will change direction and start making your way to Männlichen, the route steadily rises.

You will see the views of the Grindelwald valley and the Faulhorn (2686m) to your right as you proceed to Männlichen to your left you have the peak of Tschuggen along the Männlichen ridge on reaching the cable car station take the short round trip walk to Männlichen Gipfel, from here you have magnificent views of the Schynige Platte (2068m) and the Faulhorn (2686m).
