The South Downs Way runs from Winchester to Eastbourne, we prefer to do it from Eastbourne to Winchester
Total Length of Trail: 100 miles.
Time to Complete the Trail: 7 days+.
Highest Point: Ditchling Beacon 814ft.
Start: City Mill, Water Lane, Winchester.
Finish: The Western End of Eastbourne Promenade.
Landscape: An area of outstanding natural beauty, the western section of the downs is rolling farmland, whilst the West Sussex section is dominated by steep, wooded scarp with views across the Weald, while the East Sussex Downs are open grassland running down to the sea cliffs.
