The Tyrol region of Austria has long been popular with walkers with its spectacular mountains, and valleys pretty villages, our circular walking route takes you through the well-known villages of St Johann in Tirol and Kitzbühel as well as villages such as Scheffau. We have put together an idea for a walking holiday in the Tyrol region offering fantastic walking with magnificent views of the surrounding mountains and valleys, more walks in this area will be coming soon.

Day 1 - Kufstein to Scheffau: Today starts with a long chair-lift ride taking you high above the Inn valley, on leaving the chair lift you have a easy days walking giving magnificent panoramic views as you follow the path through the mountains before descending to a attractive lake and on to Scheffau.
Today’s hike is about 6 hours.

Day 2 - Scheffau to St Johann: Today is the longest day's walking taking you up to start and then it's up and down as the path contours along the slopes of the Wilder Kaiser Mountains, the views are rewarding looking towards the peaks of Kitzbüheler Horn and Hohe Salve.
Today’s hike is about 7.5 hours.

Day 3 - St Johann to Kitzbühel: Today is dependant on how you decide to travel and how much walking you do, against how many cable cars you take, if you have good weather a trip to the Kitzbüheler Horn 1996m, the highest point of the route is a must offering a superb viewpoint.

Day 4 - Kitzbühel to Brixen: A short easy walk today following valley paths via Kirchberg to Brixen.
Today’s hike is about 3 hours.

Day 5 - Brixen to Söll: The route today takes you over the peak of Hohe Salve, with spectacular views of the rocky peaks of the Wilder Kaiser, before descending to the pretty village of Söll.
Today’s hike is about 6 hours.

Day 6 - Söll to Kufstein: This is a pleasant final day's walking through the meadows and woods, passing the Moorsee and giving great views of the area that you have walked.
Today’s hike is about 4 hours
